Description
-
CD6 is a type I transmembrane receptor protein and a surface glycoprotein of T cells, which mainly plays a role in T cell activation, thymocyte differentiation and development, and immune response, and is mainly associated with autoimmune diseases such as psoriasis, arthritis, and systemic lupus erythematosus.
-
The exons 2-7 of mouse Cd6 gene that encode extracellular domain and transmembrane domain was replaced by human counterparts in B-hCD6 mice(C). The promoter, 5’UTR and 3’UTR region of the mouse gene were also retained. The human CD6 expression was driven by endogenous mouse Cd6 promoter, while mouse Cd6 gene transcription and translation will be disrupted.
-
Mouse CD6 was exclusively detectable in wild-type BALB/c mice, and human CD6 was exclusively detectable in homozygous B-hCD6 mice(C).
-
Application: This product is used for pharmacodynamics and safety evaluation of drugs.
Targeting strategy
Gene targeting strategy for B-hCD6 mice(C).
Protein expression analysis in T cells
Strain specific CD6 expression analysis in homozygous B-hCD6 mice(C) by flow cytometry. Spleen were collected from wild-type BALB/c mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hCD6 mice(C) (H/H). Protein expression was analyzed with anti-mouse CD6 antibody (Biolegend, 146403) and anti-human CD6 antibody (Biolegend, 313906) by flow cytometry. Mouse CD6 was exclusively detectable in wild-type BALB/c mice. Human CD6 was exclusively detectable in homozygous B-hCD6 mice(C).
